Acceptance Testing

“Mock Environment” SAT (MESAT)

ECT, Inc.’s “Mock Environment” Site Acceptance Testing (MESAT) is the end user’s dream come true. How many times have you, the end user, ordered the perfect containment device for your lab, only to learn afterwards that it’s not what you expected? Perhaps it’s the wrong size, too noisy or even worse; maybe it doesn’t perform well enough to protect you and your colleagues. ECT, Inc.’s MESAT is the ideal solution.

The MESAT begins by replicating the environmental conditions of your laboratory in our own state-of-the-art laboratory. The manufacturer ships their finished product to us to be tested to the exact standards you wish to achieve. If the product fails you’ve avoided the inconvenience, downtime and most importantly the hazard of an ill performing containment system. If the product meets your standards ECT will perform "As-Installed" tests to ensure that the hood is operating as it should.

“As Manufactured” 3rd Party FAT (AMFAT3)

Manufacturers are required to validate the performance of their hoods before they ever leave their facility, but you can rest assured that the environment the manufacturer tests the hood in is most likely set up so that test conditions maximize containment. A reference to the test being performed “As Manufactured” indicates that the test was done under these controlled conditions.

ECT, Inc.’s AMFAT3 is generally requested by the manufacturer themselves. 3rd Party documentation alleviates any hesitation on part of the end user and gives credence to the manufacturer’s product. ECT, Inc. accepts the product into our own state-of-the-art laboratory where an objective “as manufactured” FAT series of tests are performed and the results are documented.
